SUWLAKI

SOUVLAKI – a popular Greek meat dish of the shashlik type, known in many varieties. In the version served in gastronomy, slippers consist of pieces of pork or chicken, sometimes wrapped with slices of bacon, stuffed on a skewer and roasted on a grill.

1/2 kg of pork neck, sliced, washed and dried, cut into thicker slices zest and the juice of 2 lemons, scalded and scrubbed 4 cloves of garlic, chopped 100 ml of red wine 300 ml of olive oil 1 teaspoon of powdered sweet pepper fresh thyme, washed, chopped fresh mint, washed, chopped freshly ground pepper freshly ground salt

TZATZIKI

TZATZIKI Put Greek yoghurt and chopped garlic cloves into a bowl. Season the yoghurt with salt and pepper and add olive oil. Season with mild paprika and add a small amount of chopped mint. Add the grated cucumber, well drained from the water, to the ingredients. We mix. Cover the sauce with cling film and put it in the fridge.

TZATZIKI

500 g of Greek yogurt 2 garlic cloves, chopped freshly ground salt freshly ground pepper 1 teaspoon of olive oil a pinch of mild paprika a small amount of fresh mint, washed, chopped 2 cucumbers, washed, fine-grated, then drained well

BAKLAWA

Baklava is a dessert widespread in Balkan and Middle Eastern cuisine. Ingredients: approx.

500 g of filo pastry (2 packages, i.e. approx. 24 sheets) * 500 g of walnuts 2 teaspoons of cinnamon 1/4 cup of sugar 300 g clarified butter, melted ** pistachios, finely chopped, for garnish Syrup: 1½ cup of sugar 3/4 cup of water 1 teaspoon of orange blossom water (I added freshly squeezed orange juice)

MUSAKA

Moussaka – a casserole prepared on the basis of eggplant, tomatoes and minced meat; a popular dish in Greek cuisine. Ingredients for moussaka: 4 eggplants, 1 kg of ground beef, 2 onions 2 cloves of garlic, a can of chopped tomatoes in marinade 1 cup of Parmesan cheese 0.5 cups of red wine 2 tablespoons of oregano 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley 1 tablespoon of cinnamon 1 tablespoon of sugar salt and pepper

GYROS

gyros salad :

Ingredients 2 tomatoes. 4 ground cucumbers or 2 greenhouse cucumbers. 1/2 red onion. 1/2 cup of black olives. 250 g original Greek feta cheese. 4 teaspoons of dried oregano. 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil. freshly ground pepper.
